NTA plans a High-speed Internet at Local-Level Election Sites

For the upcoming Local-level election on Baishak-30, NTA is preparing to set up high-speed internet all the poll sites across the country. As per the request from the election commission, NTA is preparing to connect the internet to the local polling sites.

At, 753 local Levels the elections will be held on Baishak 30 says the Nepal government. The election commission is planning to conduct the election with the electronic voting machine on a small scale at some polling booths.


All the election sites will be provided with internet services but NTA is still not clear how many will be connected with the high-speed internet connection.


Election Commission Secretary Gokarnamani Duwadi said that the upcoming election will use ICT to ensure fairness.
